The J B Vuillaume 2024 project was built as a "sibling" to a previously built cello. It's model and dimensions are similar, however the varnish color is a deeper shade of maroon-red, while we intended to contrast the tone to create a deep bass sound, maintaining the open tone of the former cello.
Therefore, the primary difference with this new cello is the tone color, and the sound it produces. We achieved a dark, full-bodied richness of sound. Additionally, even with gentle bowing technique, a wide range of dynamic levels and tonal color may be achieved. Listen to this cello.
